Dumped by his girlfriend (Jaime Pressly, “My Name Is Earl”) and desperate for cash, Eric (Eddie Guerra, ‘Jolene’) and his buddies, Stu (Donald Faison, “Scrubs”) and Alex (Eddie Kaye Thomas, ‘American Pie’), think they’ve found the perfect easy score – robbing a warehouse full of counterfeit casino chips that belong to old-school Vegas mobster Frank Santino (Jon Polito, ‘Miller’s Crossing’). But, when the heist goes bad and Alex is taken prisoner by the Santinos, these wanna-be criminals need to sort out the mess, cash out the chips and get their buddy back alive!

Aside from her participation in the contest, Ms. Pressly is also hard at work executive producing the upcoming film “Abby in the Summer” which will star Pressly alongside Robin Thicke (yeah, that Robin Thicke) and working on a “blue collar comedy” for TV. Amidst all the television, movie and Butterfinger talk, we got the former “Mortal Kombat: Conquest” star to give us her take on pre-gaming, sexting, bros before hoes and more.

Do you partake in the lovely sport pre-gaming?
I don’t even know what pre-gaming is!

It’s drinking before drinking.
Wait, so like getting drunk before you go out to get drunk?

Yeah! Awesome, right?
I have a five-year-old so all of the gaming is on the TV at my house. There’s really no pre-game for me. I’m a big fight fan so I go to as many UFC fights as possible. I don’t have a drink until after the fights.

Why not?
In your 20s you can drink all day. But when you’re 35 with a five-year-old, the last thing I’m trying to do is get wasted before I go out and then get wasted some more.

What are your rules on sexting?
It’s up to the individual. I don’t judge. Just don’t do it while driving. No sexting and driving!

What’s the girl code on dealing with a break up?
They say women are emotional but the truth is that men are way more emotional. Especially when it comes to relationships. When guys leave the women they try to screw everything in sight to make themselves feel like a man. But later, when he’s alone, he’s missing that girl and wondering what she’s doing. Meanwhile she’s happy being alone or moved on to another good relationship. That drives men crazy because instead of chilling out and moving on, they did a bunch of stupid stuff that made them look even more like a douchebag to the person they broke up with and now there is absolutely nothing there to salvage.

What’s your response to, “Bros before Hoes”?
If a guy thinks that and he’s in a serious relationship, I’d like to hear him say that in front of his girl or wife because you’re going to see somebody walking out the door real quick. When you’re with the boys, you can talk all you want. But when you get home to your girl behind closed doors you act like children. They can’t clean or wash clothes. They don’t want the girl to leave because who’s going to cook for them? Who’s going to scratch their back and rock them to sleep when they are sick. Men act like three-year-olds. My five-year-old acts better than most men when he’s sick and that’s the truth.

Frances Conroy (“American Horror Story”), Joey Lauren Adams (“Chasing Amy”) and Steve Agee (“The Sarah Silverman Program”) will co-star in the pic, which starts production this week in Los Angeles.

Pin-Chun Liu and Jacqueline W. Liu are producing, while Caliber Media’s Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller are exec producing with Gabriel Cowan and John Suits of New Artists Alliance.

Pressly stars as the title character, an adrenaline junkie who spends 60 hours a week working as a sous chef in a busy kitchen. After accidentally cutting herself one day, she is forced to leave work for the summer, during which she must face the challenge of doing nothing. As temperatures soar, she must deal with a distracted husband (Runyan) and the temptation of an old flame (Thicke). Conroy and Adams will play the protag’s mother and best friend, respectively.

Pic, which serves as Thicke’s feature acting debut, will mark New Artists Alliance and Caliber Media’s second film to start shooting in Los Angeles this month, as the two companies are also producing Jacob Vaughan’s horror comedy “Milo.”

MM: What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you at Comic Con?
Jaime Pressly: I don’t have any wild stories [laughs]. But there’s lots of great people watching.

MM: Lot of superheroes running around Comic Con. What’s your dream secret power?
JP: Being invisible would be pretty great. You could watch everybody, sneak into places and know what people were saying.

MM: BARmageddon is coming! What’s it going to take to become the “Last Butterfinger spokesperson”?
JP: It’s going to take somebody extremely creative, original and maybe a little crazy. They have to do something to get our attention. Something outlandish.

MM: Have you been eating Butterfingers non-stop since hitting Comic Con?
JP: They’re my favorite. Peanut butter and chocolate with a crunch – can’t go wrong. They sent a beautiful basket of Butterfingers to my house and I thought my son’s eyes were going to pop out. He said, “For me?” And I said, “No, me!” [laughs] Then he asked, “Are you at least going to share?” I had the basket out for people to snack on when they came over, but I had to hide the basket because my son, Dezi, was sneaking Butterfingers and he was bouncing off the walls.

MM: Is Dezi at Comic Con with you?
JP: No, he’s at the Museum of Natural History. He’s with his friends – learning about butterflies.

MM: What are your BARmageddon plans?
JP: If it were to happen, I’d take Dezi and go back home with my family in North Carolina. A lot of people have bucket lists, like “go to India” or “skydiving.” That sounds like a lot of work [laughs]. I’d just go and be with my friends and family – and eat a Butterfinger!

MM: You have a cool new children’s movie coming out – The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure. Sounds fun!
JP: There are really great people in it. I did all of my scenes with Christopher Lloyd. I thought it would be a fun thing for my son to see.

MM: What new projects are you working on?
JP: I start a new film on Monday called “Abby.” I’m acting in it and it will be my first time as executive producer. It’s a festival piece…a love story. I play a chef and I’m running a kitchen and get a knife finger incident [laughs] and lose the biggest job I always wanted. She’s a girl with a type A personality and doesn’t know what to do with herself after that. She gets a little lost, sees an ex-boyfriend she hasn’t seen in a while…

MM: Scrumptious! Do you cook in real life?
JP: I’m a really good cook. I left home to start my career at 15 – so my choices were to either learn to cook or eat Raman noodles for the rest of my life [laughs].

MM: You’re a former star gymnast. If you were Coach Pressly, what would you tell Team USA?
JP: These girls know way more than I do [laughs]. I was watching pre-lims, and it’s incredible the amount of strength these girls have. It’s all mind over body. As a dancer, I’d dance with broken toes. Just like acting, you compete with yourself, and drive forward. That discipline helped in Hollywood.

MM: Your career is so prolific and just so cool. What makes you so successful?
JP: A lot has to do with growing up in North Carolina. Southern people are raised with a work ethic. My son is 5 years old and does chores. My mom was a dance teacher and the training and discipline it takes to be a dancer I’ve carried with me in Hollywood. There’s always somebody cuter, younger, taller, or smaller… You can’t compete with them – compete with yourself. Out do yourself. So I got discipline from my mom, and from my dad I learned perseverance. We’d go fishing on the river and I’d say, “This is boring” and my dad would say, “Chicken, calm down. All big fish comes to those who wait.”

According to Butterfinger, signs of a complete BARmageddon began earlier this year when strange events took place nationwide, all related to the disappearance of Butterfinger bars. To help warn the world about BARmageddon, Emmy award-winning actress Jaime Pressly is signed on to help Butterfinger launch a nationwide search for its last spokesperson. Pressly, a longtime Butterfinger fan, is scheduled to attend Comic-Con on Friday, July 13, and will help identify talented candidates for the life-changing (and earth-shattering), one-of-a-kind role.

“While nobody’s gonna lay a finger on my Butterfinger, I will lay a finger on the last spokesperson worthy enough to represent my favorite candy bar,” said Pressly. “I love the notion of BARmageddon because we’ve all been hearing about the Mayan prophecy, but Butterfinger is spinning it on its head. If the world’s gonna end, you’d better believe Butterfinger is going out with a bang.”

The “Last Spokesperson on Earth” for Butterfinger campaign officially will begin July 13, at the world’s largest comic book convention, where sightings of aliens and strange beings have been widely reported. To kick off the “Last Spokesperson” search, Butterfinger will be giving away a special edition Butterfinger BARmageddon candy bar, while supplies last, to convention attendees. The cancellations will make room for new comedies It’s Messy, Ben & Kate and The Goodwin Games, all of which Fox ordered to series Wednesday.

The news doesn’t come as a huge surprise — both shows were previously yanked from Fox’s lineup for the remainder of the season. I Hate My Teenage Daughter, starring Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran was pulled in March. Breaking In, which stars Christian Slater and Megan Mullally, was pulled just a few weeks later in April. (Breaking In was canceled last season but received a surprise last-minute resurrection.)

Despite their strong lead-ins (Raising Hope and New Girl), both shows pulled in weak ratings, averaging just under 3 million viewers.

A network rep declined to comment on the report.

The series, which was put on hiatus in March, had been set to return on Sunday, June 3 at 7:00/6:00c with back-to-back episodes for three weeks – completing its 13-episode run.

FOX will now air repeats of animated comedies “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show” in said time periods. The network will also plug additional repeats of “30 Seconds to Fame” into the Saturday, 12:00/11:00c slot, which was set to feature “Daughter” encores beginning June 2.

Pressly will play prison warden Melinda, a sexy, ominous woman with a sadistic streak enjoying cat-and-mouse games with her inmates who are terrified by her.

The project is formally in second position to Fox’s Teenage Daughter, which also is produced by Warner Bros. The freshman comedy has been de facto cancelled after Fox pulled it from the schedule earlier this week. This marks Pressly’s return to NBC where she co-starred on comedy My Name Is Earl, which earned her an Emmy.

The series starring Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran has been pulled from the Fox schedule, Deadline reports.

This isn’t good news for the sitcom. Just last week, Fox’s plan to move it to Wednesdays following the American Idol performance show was changed. The network decided it would air only two more episodes of the sitcom in its Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c berth before it returned in the summer, but now it looks like Teenage Daughter has been grounded immediately.

The comedy block originally included Raising Hope, New Girl, Breaking In and Teenage Daughter. For the next two weeks, repeats of Raising Hope will air in the Tuesday, 8:30/7:30c slot.

The remaining Teenage Daughter episodes are still planned to air in the summer.

The network announced Thursday that Teenage Daughter, which had been slated to move from its Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. slot as part of the network’s new comedy block effective April 4, will instead go on an extended hiatus until the summer.

The last original episode will air Tuesday, April 3 at 8:30 p.m.

American Idol’s performance episodes will expand from its previous 90-minute installments to two hours for the remainder of its Wednesday airings this season starting April 4.

In its most recent airing this week, Teenage Daughter notched a series low in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic, sinking to below time slot competitor in ABC’s Cougar Town.
