It’s been a tumultuous year for Jaime Pressly but 2011 seems to be ending on a good note – at least romantically speaking. The actress brought her new beau, Hamzi Hijazi, along to celebrate Mohegan Sun’s 15th anniversary on Saturday in Connecticut. The pair watched Jennifer Lopez’s emotional concert along with newlyweds Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, then attended the afterparty at Ballo inside Mohegan Sun. Pressly, 34, who filed for divorce from entertainment lawyer Simran Singh in January, said she and Hijazi met at Lorin, his shoe store in downtown Santa Monica, Calif. The former My Name Is Earl star, who next stars in the Fox sitcom I Hate My Teenage Daughter, described their first encounter as fateful. “I literally walked into the shoe store with my girlfriends one day shopping and there he was, so it was a kismet kind of thing,” she tells PEOPLE. “It was great.” |

Jaime Pressly’s hot for teacher. Fox’s upcoming comedy I Hate My Teenage Daughter has tapped Mark Consuelos to recur as a teacher-turned crush interest for Pressly’s character Annie, TVLine has learned. Kelly Ripa’s other half will play Carlos Castillo, a Spanish professor at the local community college where Pressly and Katie Finneran’s characters have enrolled. Before you can say Te quiero, Pressly’s Annie soon finds herself being asked out on a date by Mr. Castillo. Others joining All My Children vet Consuelos in guest spots on the freshman series include Bridesmaids scene-stealer Wendi McLendon-Covey and Pretty Little Liars‘ Keegan Allen. I Hate My Teenage Daughter premieres Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 9:30/8:30c. |
